Catholic Financial Life has an exciting opportunity available for a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team! The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will lead and own the day-to-day financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functions and financial data management processes at Catholic Financial Life. This pivotal role will be accountable for collaborative, cross-functional efforts to drive relevant, flexible and efficient financial planning and analysis to support organizational goals and key business. This hire will be responsible for the management and utilization of financial tools used to evaluate business performance including the company’s financial reporting, forecasting and annual operating plan. Additionally, the FP&A Director will lead and coordinate the Society’s annual budget process, working directly with leadership to provide financial modeling, analyses and recommendations. The ideal candidate must have well-developed mathematical and analytical skills, working knowledge of financial analysis techniques, strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and coordinate the Society’s annual budget process
• Provide the CFO, senior management and project teams and task forces information to aid in decision making and management presentations including but not limited to
  • technical accounting and financial support (GAAP, STAT & compliance)
  • financial modeling and analyses
  • industry and market trend analyses
  • interpretation and recommendations
• Provide financial analyses related to P&L, profitability, budgets, forecasting, reporting, ad hoc analysis for new business case development and custom financial analyses
• Develop and maintain spreadsheets and statistical models for financial analysis
• Partner with all other departments developing forecasting models to enhance or develop their financial acumen, implement and track progress of action plans and corporate initiatives
• Measure subsequent ROI of corporate initiatives and other projects
• Represent the CFO on various committees, project teams and task forces
• Complete audits of the Fraternal chapters

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of Finance/Accounting experience
• CPA preferred
• Master’s or MBA preferred
• Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills, working knowledge of financial analysis techniques and modeling
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Takes initiative and able to work independently
• Capable of prioritizing work and multi-tasking
