Member Services / Claims Customer Service Representative

 

Do you have a passion to help others? Catholic Financial Life (CFL) has an exciting opportunity available for a Customer Service Representative to join our team! As a Customer Services Representative at Catholic Financial Life, you will be part of our Insurance Services Department. You will be primarily responsible for delivering exceptional member experiences (EMEs) to our customers (members, advisors and brokers). You will report to the Member Services and Claims Directors and be a part of the Catholic Financial Life family. As an ideal candidate, you will have a passion to provide superior customer service to CFL members, advisors and associates. Beyond delighting our members, you will be an active participant in our digital member services center transformation!

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Active participation in our member services and claims call centers - directing and handling calls as appropriate
  • Handling member inquiries, which involve transaction processing or inquiries.
  • Generating correspondence and forms when applicable.
  • Proactively resolving member services and claims issues and ensuring action steps are communicated with members and appropriate CFL teams
  • Reviewing generated reports and completing necessary processing
  • Completing various projects as assigned
  • Active communication with members, advisors and associates regarding the status of member services
  • Provide proactive support and input into the digital re-engineering/transformation of operational processes within Member Services and Claims Operations to help facilitate company growth, improve organizational efficiency and reduce turnaround time

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 - 5 years of life insurance operations experience, preferably in an area that deals directly with customers
  • Experience in a digital customer services environment
  • A proven track record of high performance
  • Excellent communication skills that can be dynamically adjusted to different situations and audiences
  • A desire to set high expectations for yourself and then strive to exceed those expectations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to improve processes that you are responsible for

 

The successful candidate will be organized, detail oriented and able to work independently. Individual must be able to influence other associates at all organizational levels. 

Candidate must be skilled in effectively prioritizing work based on a balanced assessment of impact, urgency, and priority to maximize efficiency while minimizing risk.  Excellent communication skills are required with the ability to work well in a team environment.
